Interrogative form
Forma-se a
interrogativa pondo o verbo antes do sujeito.
Exemplos:
Is he happy? (Ele está feliz?)
Are they American? (Elas são americanas?)
Negative form
Forma-se a negativa
pondo o not após o verbo.
Exemplos:
I am not at the club. (Eu não estou no clube.)
We are not French.
(Nós não somos franceses.)
Na forma negativa
também podemos usar a forma contraída.
Quando o is e are se
contraem com o not temos isn’t e aren’t.
O am não admite a contração com o not.
Exemplos:
She isn’t hungry.
(Ela não está com fome).
You aren’t late.
(Você não está atrasado.)
